Subnautica 2 Joins GeForce NOW Day-and-Date at Launch
GeForce NOW members can stream Subnautica 2 starting today, with NVIDIA launching cloud access to the underwater survival sequel on the same day it arrives on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox, and Game Pass. The title anchors a week that also brings 10 more new games, a HITMAN reward event, and Forza Horizon 6 early access for eligible players.
What Subnautica 2 Offers on GeForce NOW
According to NVIDIA's announcement, the game places players inside a shared-world ocean environment built around survival, exploration, and base-building across both underwater and surface environments. Story-driven missions, alien ecosystems, and co-op support are all part of the package from day one.
The Subnautica 2 GeForce NOW launch means members on phones, tablets, low-spec laptops, and smart TVs can access the game at release with no downloads or hardware upgrades required. NVIDIA said the service streams the title directly from its cloud infrastructure, removing any local system requirement.
HITMAN Reward Tiers: What Each Membership Level Gets
NVIDIA said a reward event tied to "HITMAN World of Assassination" is live now and runs through Sunday, June 14, on a first-come, first-served basis. Members can claim items by logging into their GeForce NOW account and visiting the rewards section inside the account portal.
The announcement details three tiers. Free members receive the Purple Streak Explosive Duck, a remote detonator built to resemble a rubber toy. Performance members also receive the Bomb Dynamite. Ultimate members unlock the full set, which adds the Purple Streak Fiber Wire and the Purple Streak Swimwear Suit on top of both previous items.
Separately, NVIDIA noted that "HITMAN World of Assassination" is free to play through May 25. The company said completing any session during that window earns members a special bonus redeemable inside "007 First Light." Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre character from "Casino Royale" is also currently featured in the game as part of this update.
Forza Horizon 6, the Full Weekly Lineup, and Key Dates
NVIDIA confirmed "Forza Horizon 6" early access opened May 14 for Steam players who bought the Premium Edition ahead of launch and for PC Game Pass subscribers who added the Premium Upgrade Bundle. Both groups can access the title through GeForce NOW with no local installation needed.
Per NVIDIA's post, the remaining nine titles joining the service this week are:
- "Blades of Fire" (Steam, May 14)
- "Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes" (Steam, May 11)
- "Outbound" (Steam, May 11)
- "Directive 8020" (Steam, May 12)
- "Disco Elysium" (Xbox, available on Game Pass)
- "Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure" (Epic Games Store)
- "Planet Coaster 2" (Epic Games Store)
- "Sudden Strike 5" (Steam)
- "Super Battle Golf" (Steam)
For members tracking upcoming changes, NVIDIA confirmed a Gaijin single sign-on feature is in development, with details to follow in a future weekly update. The June 14 HITMAN reward cutoff and the May 25 free-play deadline for the "007 First Light" bonus are the two most immediate dates to note.
[Analysis] A day-and-date cloud launch for a high-profile early access title like Subnautica 2 signals a shift in how streaming platforms are being positioned at release. For players without capable gaming hardware, simultaneous GeForce NOW access on launch day removes one of the last real barriers between them and new releases.
