Anthropic Expands Claude With Creative Software Connectors

Anthropic Expands Claude With Creative Software Connectors

Anthropic on Monday announced a batch of new Claude connectors built with partners across the creative software industry, including Adobe, Autodesk, Blender, Ableton, and Splice. The integrations allow creative professionals to pair Claude directly with the design, 3D modeling, audio production, and visual effects applications they already use daily.

What the New Claude Connectors Do

Each connector gives Claude direct access to a specific platform, enabling users to interact with professional tools through natural language. The full partner lineup goes well beyond the five headline names.

Adobe's creativity connector taps into more than 50 Creative Cloud tools, spanning Photoshop, Premiere, and Express, so users can generate and edit images, video, and designs from within Claude. Autodesk Fusion lets designers and engineers create or modify 3D models conversationally, provided they hold an active Fusion subscription.

Blender's connector exposes the open-source suite's Python API, making it possible to analyze full scenes, batch-apply changes, and even add custom interface tools. Anthropic has also joined the Blender Development Fund as a patron, supporting continued work on the API that powers the integration. Because the connector uses the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), it is accessible to other large language models as well.

On the audio side, Ableton's connector grounds Claude's responses in official documentation for Live and Push, while Splice lets music producers search its royalty-free sample library without leaving Claude.

Additional connectors include Affinity by Canva for batch production tasks like image adjustments and file exports, SketchUp for quick 3D concept generation, and Resolume Arena and Wire for real-time control of live visual performances.

Education Partnerships and Broader Vision

Alongside the tool integrations, Anthropic said it is collaborating with three art and design programs to weave these connectors into creative curricula. The initial group includes Art and Computation at Rhode Island School of Design, Fundamentals of AI for Creatives at Ringling College of Art and Design, and the MA/MFA Computational Arts program at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Students and faculty at those institutions will receive access to Claude and the new connectors. Anthropic noted that feedback from these programs will shape how the tools evolve for creative practitioners, with plans to bring more schools on board later.

The company also highlighted Claude Design, a new product from Anthropic Labs focused on rapid visual exploration of software experiences. Claude Design can generate and iterate on interface concepts based on user feedback, with export support starting with Canva.

Why It Matters for Creative Professionals

Anthropic positioned the connectors as a way to reduce repetitive production work, bridge multi-app pipelines, and help users learn unfamiliar features in complex software. Rather than replacing creative judgment, the company framed Claude's role as handling the manual overhead that slows projects down.

All of the new connectors are available now through Claude. Full details, including partner links and setup instructions, can be found in Anthropic's official announcement.
